This series is inspired by kelp and seaweed. I've used my embellishing/felting machine to "blend" the various colors and textures. I used a wide variety of materials such as silk, polyester organdy, hand knit silk yarn, raffia, plastic netting, wool roving and metallics. For each piece I begin by creating a base fabric and continue building up the surface or turn it into a 3D piece. These four photos display works that are still in the incubating stage. (4 photos)
